This was awesome for my 5-year-old to practice her scissor skills. The first pages are simple straight lines, and they get more difficult as you get farther into it. The pages remove easily from the pad which is helpful. Some of the pages are designed to be games or activities after they've been cut out, but my daughter didn't have any interest in that. The safety scissors are a little dinky, but they work pretty well on paper, and it's nice that they don't cut other things. I actually gave them to my 3-year-old and let my 5-year-old use her normal kids scissors.
