Inspired by the games they played with their still growing clan of 5 married children and 14 grandkids, this grandparent duo combined their passion for family time with a love of games, and founded “Grandpa Beck’s Games”. Each card game harnesses childish enthusiasm and aims toward the ultimate win, FUN!

Skull King evokes classic trick-taking games, such as Hearts, Spades, or Euchre, where players bid on how many tricks they will win each round. While these games share similar foundations, Skull King brings much more to the table, with added layers of strategy and intrigue. The included Legendary Expansion provides even more unique twists and fierce, yet friendly, competition! New cards, featuring Mermaids, Loot, and the mighty Kraken take Skull King to a whole new level.

Whether you are 8 or 80, Skull King will bring out your scurvy pirate soul and the thrill of a treasure hunt! With the expansion, new powers come into play for each pirate, adding fresh intrigue. Skull King Experience

We have played this game with friends and have enjoyed it! Like pinochle, spades, or hearts - it is a game of tricks and fun! Except this is a game with a twist and appropriate pictures. Good game!

Skull King

This is a really fun game that requires a lot strategic thinking. It’s not simple by any means, & it takes a lot of play to memorize the rules. We played without using some of the options available because we are still just learning (ie different values for each pirate, loot cards), but that’s part of the beauty of Skull King: you can customize the rules to your group. The best part of Skull King is how unpredictable it is, & how the outcome can turn 180 degrees in just one trick! This is a game that will keep you coming back (“...well, I know we said we would quit after this game, but let’s just play one more round!!!”). Kudos to the creators. This game is a blast!

My Favorite by Grandpa Beck's Games

I love trick-taking games. This game is great for those who love those games like Hearts but want a new twist, and I love that it can be played with 2 players where many trick-taking games cannot be.
